Quote of the day: "Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative." --Oscar Wilde
These are photos I took from August through mid-September 2007. During this time I drove from Pennsylvania to Colorado, Utah, California, Nevada, Wyoming, and South Dakota (and all the states in between, although I only took photographs in the states listed). My goal was to visit as many National Parks as possible and photograph some of the stunning scenery in the western part of the United States. In retrospect, I may have tried to cover too much territory in too short a time. Five days is definitely not enough time for a major national park. Also, if I had to do it again I would probably go during late spring when the west tends to be more green (August is very hot and dry over most of the west). Even so, it was a great trip and I would love to do it again!
