spent the summer in Japan participating in the NSF Summer
Institute in Japan program. Then I went to France for a robotics
conference and then I visited a friend in Belgium. I managed to
see a few other countries along the way, although mostly I was

All photographs were taken by Keith Kotay except as noted.
Most photographs are sharper than it appears on these pages due
to the use of a flatbed scanner. I should have used a negative
scanner but I didn't have the time. If I can find the time
(ha-ha) I may rescan some photos using a negative scanner.
